The Taittinger Champagne NOCTURNE ROSÉ Sec is a sensual, expressive champagne from Champagne, specifically designed for enjoyment in the late evening hours. This cuvée arose from the great success of the Nocturne line and combines elegance, fruitiness, and a deliberately softer style. The blend is based on 30% Chardonnay and 70% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, supplemented by 12 to 15% still red wine from Champagne, predominantly from first-class Pinot Noir grapes from the Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys. This component gives the champagne its intense color as well as additional depth and structure. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this bottling is balanced, harmonious, and exceedingly charming.


The dosage of 17.5 g/l clearly positions the NOCTURNE ROSÉ in the Sec style and provides a gentle sweetness, which is excellently integrated by the long, slow aging in Taittinger's cellars. The freshness of the Chardonnay balances the fruitiness and gives the champagne its equilibrium.
