First, the premium rum matures for three years in ex-Bourbon barrels in Central America, where the climate and storage conditions provide depth, structure, and aromatic richness.


Subsequently, it is transported to France, to the cellars of Maison Ferrand, where the rum receives an additional finish in ex-Cognac barrels. This second maturation phase gives Planteray Gran Añejo its elegant balance, additional complexity, and a particularly smooth texture.
