Mezan The Unaltered Rum Dominican Republic 2012 46% ABV 0.7 l + GB is a distinctive single-origin rum from the Dominican Republic, synonymous with authenticity and unadulterated rum quality. This Dominican Republic rum was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022, giving it an age of 10 years. Distillation took place in multi-column stills, whilst maturation occurred initially for 3 years in the tropical Caribbean climate and subsequently for 7 years in Europe. The aged rum was stored in selected ex-bourbon casks, allowing a balanced interplay between the cask character and the structure of the distillate to develop. The release is also limited to 5,500 bottles worldwide, making this limited-edition rum particularly appealing to collectors and connoisseurs of authentic rums.
