The Silkie Irish Whiskey Series is inspired by the legendary figures of Irish folklore – the so-called Silkies, mystical sea creatures from Celtic mythology. With the Dark Silkie Irish Whiskey, the distillery presents a particularly powerful and smoky interpretation of the traditional Irish Whiskey Blend.

For this bottling, carefully selected single malt whiskeys and grain whiskeys are blended. A portion of the malts used is dried over peat smoke, giving the whiskey a distinctive smoky and maritime aroma. Maturation primarily takes place in ex-Bourbon casks made from American white oak, which impart additional depth to the whiskey as well as notes of vanilla and sweetness. At 46% Vol., this Irish Whiskey is deliberately bottled at a higher strength to particularly highlight its aromatic diversity.
