Shede Classic is a premium Chinese baijiu produced by Shede Spirits and belongs to the traditional ‘strong-aroma’ style. Its production draws on a Chinese brewing tradition dating back over 1,300 years. It utilises time-honoured methods, which the producer links to the ‘Taihe Liquor Classic’ brewing technique, designated as intangible cultural heritage. Another distinctive feature is the so-called ‘Golden Liquor’ technology, which, according to Shede, is said to contribute to a particularly elegant and harmonious spirit profile. This sets the Shede Classic apart from European spirits such as whisky, liqueur or fruit brandy, and represents a distinct, time-honoured category of Chinese spirits.

Particular attention is paid to the ageing and subsequent blending of Shede Classic Baijiu. The producer states that the product is aged for at least six years in its original storage vessels. In addition, selected distillates aged for more than 15 years are used for the final blending. The details of the production process also describe ageing for more than eight years in purple Yixing pottery. Maturation takes place using traditional cellars and methods that are closely linked to the cultural heritage of Chinese spirits production.
