The FRC 13 Years Old PANAMA Premium Reserve Rum Batch 2 is an aged rum from Panama, bottled by the Flensburg Rum Company (FRC), characterised by a two-stage ageing process in different climatic zones. The rum is made from molasses distillates from Panama, which were initially aged for eight years under tropical conditions in Panama. The ageing process was then transferred to Germany, where the rum spent a further five years in northern Germany at Oldman Spirits GmbH. In total, the bottling thus reaches an age of 13 years. The combination of intensive tropical cask maturation and significantly cooler continental storage is intended to produce a balanced blend of cask character, fruit and spice.

The FRC Panama 13 Years Batch #2 is bottled at 43% in a 0.7-litre bottle and contains no colouring. A dosage of 20 g of sugar per litre is specified for the bottling. It is characterised by a blend of tropical fruits with caramel, vanilla, spices and matured wood notes. The 13-year double maturation process between Panama and northern Germany forms the key distinguishing feature of this Premium Reserve bottling. The nautical label featuring a ship’s wheel reflects the identity of the Flensburg Rum Company.
