Connor & Riley Liqueur and Whisky is a modern liqueur containing whisky, developed by Sierra Madre GmbH as the company’s first in-house liqueur brand and launched in September 2026. The concept deliberately focuses on uncomplicated enjoyment and combines a smooth liqueur base with whisky, which lends the product additional depth and structure. At its heart is a pronounced caramel profile, complemented by vanilla, nougat and nutty notes. The whisky remains deliberately in the background, contributing a subtle, slightly smoky nuance to the composition. With an alcohol content of 31 per cent, Connor & Riley is significantly stronger than many classic sweet liqueurs, thereby combining an approachable character with a more robust spirit base.

Behind Connor & Riley is Sierra Madre GmbH, based in Hagen and founded in 1995, which operates as an importer and distributor of spirits and Mexican food products. With Connor & Riley, the company is expanding its portfolio for the first time to include a whisky liqueur developed in-house as its own brand. The design of the 0.7-litre bottle is also striking: the bold orange colour and the two eponymous characters, Connor & Riley, on the label are intended to emphasise the brand’s deliberately unconventional positioning. The liqueur, with its whisky and caramel notes, is designed both for drinking neat and for simple mixed drinks, and is therefore not aimed exclusively at traditional whisky drinkers.
