It is produced by the family-run Delord business in Gascony, whose history dates back to 1893, when Prosper Delord began working as an itinerant distiller. Over several generations, the family has continued to develop its expertise in viticulture, distillation and the long-term ageing of eaux-de-vie. The Vintage Récolte 1997 embodies the traditional concept of an Armagnac Millésimé, in which a specific vintage is at the heart of the bottling.
