This exceptional rum is produced from sugar cane molasses at the Ingenio la Cabaña Distillery, where the molasses is processed via column still distillation following a fermentation period of two to three days. The distillate is then matured for seven years under tropical conditions in ex-bourbon casks, before being stored for a further six months in Ferrand casks in France. The rum derives its distinctive character from a final 18-month finish in a White Muscatel cask. Bottled at 47.7% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box, this special edition combines Central American rum tradition with French cask maturation.
