This exceptional rum is produced from sugar cane molasses at the historic Long Pond Distillery, where the molasses is first fermented for two weeks and then distilled using the classic pot still method. The designation VRW stands for a traditional distillate marking used by the Jamaican distillery. Distilled in 2023, this rum is matured exclusively under continental conditions in France, spending two years and two months in Ferrand casks before undergoing a final eleven-month finish in a former Chardonnay wine cask. After a total of around three years’ ageing, this special edition is available at 43.8% ABV in a 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box.
