The PROVIDENCE Haitian Pure Single Rum 2019 52% comes from the Distillerie de Port-au-Prince in Haiti, which was founded in 2018 and combines traditional Haitian production methods with the expertise of La Maison & Velier. It is based on crystalline sugar cane syrup, processed using a traditional method. This Pure Single Rum was distilled in September 2019 in a handcrafted Muller-Bain-Marie still, whose discontinuous distillation process preserves the individual character of the raw material. Following distillation, a three-year maturation period began, endowing this Providence with an exceptional fusion of Haitian rum tradition and a significant chapter in Caribbean rum history.

The rum completed its full three-year maturation, from 2019 to 2022, in original ex-Caroni casks. This brings together the artisanal production of the young Haitian distillery with casks from the legendary, now-closed Caroni Distillery in Trinidad. In 2022, the Providence 3 Years Haitian Pure Single Rum was bottled at a robust 52% ABV and contains no colouring. The combination of pure single rum from Haiti, traditional distillation and three years’ maturation in ex-Caroni casks gives this bottling a particularly distinctive status within the Providence range.
