The Octomore Ochdamh-mòr SINGLE CASK Super Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt 66.2% is an exceptional single-cask bottling from the Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay, selected exclusively for Austria. This uncompromisingly peaty Islay single malt Scotch whisky is made exclusively from 100 per cent Concerto barley, the malt of which was peated to an intense 101.4 PPM. Following distillation, the whisky was matured for six years in a single first-fill bourbon cask, allowing the powerful Octomore smoke to blend with vanilla, malty sweetness and the characteristic influences of American oak. The cask was personally selected by Master Blender Adam Hannett, whilst maturation and bottling took place entirely on Islay.

With an impressive 66.2% alcohol content, the Octomore Ochdamh-mòr Single Cask showcases the unadulterated character of a single cask in a particularly concentrated form. Sweet barbecue smoke and malty cereal notes meet honey, brown sugar and marzipan, before peach, orchard fruits and spicy notes of ginger and nutmeg add further depth. Chocolate, cocoa and coffee blend with a surprising salty sea note, emphasising its maritime origins. Just 264 bottles were bottled exclusively for Austria, making this 6-year-old Octomore Single Cask Edition a particularly rare release for collectors and connoisseurs of extremely peated Islay whiskies. Due to the unique combination of barley, cask, alcohol strength and PPM, this edition cannot be replicated in exactly the same form.
