Gran Orendain Tequila REPOSADO 100% Agave 40% embodies the Orendain family’s time-honoured tequila-making tradition from Jalisco, Mexico. The Destilería Orendain boasts more than 95 years of experience and, with Gran Orendain, combines traditional production methods with a particularly distinctive agave character. Made from 100% agave, the agave is cooked in traditional brick ovens and then processed using the family’s distinctive yeast culture, which has been in use since the 1920s. After distillation, Gran Orendain Reposado acquires its distinctive depth through eight months’ ageing in ex-bourbon casks made from medium-toasted American white oak. This ensures that the cooked agave remains clearly recognisable, whilst wood, vanilla and spices add further complexity.

At 40% ABV, the Gran Orendain Reposado 100% Agave Tequila is balanced, powerful and, at the same time, pleasantly approachable. Red apple and cooked agave blend with vanilla, black pepper and a distinctive oaky character, whilst dates, figs and caramel lend a more mature, sweet dimension. The eight-month ageing in ex-bourbon casks thus gives the tequila significantly more structure than an unaged Blanco, without masking the original agave character. The 0.7-litre bottle with a gift box emphasises its special presentation and makes this Reposado tequila from Jalisco an attractive gift idea for lovers of classically matured agave spirits.
