Depaz Rhum Vieux Agricole Plantation Martinique 45% embodies the classic style of an aged Rhum Agricole from Martinique, combining fresh sugarcane character with harmonious oak barrel ageing. It is produced by the Depaz Distillery in Saint-Pierre, which lies at the foot of Montagne Pelée and cultivates its sugarcane fields on the volcanic soils of this extraordinary region. Unlike molasses-based rum, Depaz Plantation Rum is made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice. After fermentation and distillation, the spirit is aged for at least three years in oak casks, allowing the original freshness of the distillate to blend with notes of vanilla, wood and ripe fruit. As a Rhum Agricole Martinique AOC, it stands for a clearly defined origin and traditional production methods.

At 45% ABV, Depaz Rhum Vieux Plantation is full of character, well-rounded and richly aromatic. The cask ageing brings out creamy vanilla and coconut, whilst chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon and ripe plum add further depth. Candied fruit and a subtle hint of coffee complement the multi-layered profile and lend this matured Agricole a pleasantly indulgent character.
