In this process, the freshly distilled whisky slowly passes through a three-metre-thick layer of sugar maple charcoal. Gentleman Jack is distinguished by this special filtration process as well as its unique barrel-maturing process. Only the brand’s own barrels made from high-quality American white oak are used, the insides of which are gently ‘toasted’ to caramelise the wood’s natural sugars. After barrel ageing, this Tennessee whisky undergoes charcoal mellowing a second time.
