Since 1868, Amaro Siciliano has been produced according to a recipe that remains a closely guarded secret to this day, dating back to Don Salvatore Averna. According to legend, he received the recipe as a special gift from the Benedictine monk Fra Girolamo, who had developed a secret blend of natural Sicilian and Mediterranean ingredients. To this day, the liqueur is produced exclusively from carefully selected herbs, roots, spices and citrus fruits, and embodies Sicily’s authentic culture of indulgence.
