The Teeling Irish Whiskey Rum Cask is characterized by an exceptionally high malt content, a rare feature that gives it a particularly distinctive note. The maturation takes place in two carefully coordinated phases: First, grain and malt whiskeys are aged separately in ex-bourbon casks, with a special ratio of 3:1 in favor of the grain.

This first maturation phase, which can last up to six years, allows the whiskeys to develop their individual aromas and characteristics. Afterwards, the whiskeys are combined in small batches and receive a final finish in carefully selected American rum casks. This final maturation gives the Teeling Irish Whiskey Rum Cask its complex depth and rich aroma, making it unique in the world of Irish whiskeys.
