The Balvenie Distillery, which has been producing high-quality whisky since 1892, still preserves many traditional methods in its production process today. For example, the barley is still grown on-site, and the distillery uses a traditional malting floor – a rarity in the modern whisky industry. Furthermore, Balvenie employs its own team of coopers responsible for the maintenance and repair of the casks to ensure optimal quality throughout the maturation process.

Balvenie 12 Years Old Single Barrel First Fill was first introduced in 2013 and has since been one of the brand's more exclusive whiskies. This single malt matured for 12 years in first-fill bourbon casks, giving it its characteristic depth and complexity.

As each bottling comes from a single cask, the number is limited to 300 bottles per cask, making each batch unique. Each bottle is carefully hand-numbered, further emphasizing the exclusivity and craftsmanship of this whisky.
