In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles, a third-generation farmer, runs the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal Institute for Viticulture and Pomology in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums, and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine spirits began in 1979, followed by the establishment of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the product range includes around twenty fine spirits and just as many vinegar varieties, which regularly receive recognition.

Gölles Williams is carefully matured in glass demijohns for 2 years. The Williams pear already captivates with its juicy sweetness on the tree, and only in the distillate does it fully develop its rich fruitiness. Hardly any other fruit variety manages to convey this amazing fruity enjoyment so clearly and distinctly directly into the glass.
