In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles, a third-generation farmer, runs the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal Institute for Viticulture and Pomology in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums, and peaches. His foray into distilling fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the establishment of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the product range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many vinegar varieties, which regularly receive accolades.

The Gölles Alte Zwetschke plum brandy undergoes an eight-year maturation process in oak barrels, which gives it a complex profile with aromas of vanilla, wood, and roasted notes. With an alcohol content of 40%, this brandy appeals to connoisseurs of intense taste experiences and is therefore also very popular among whisky enthusiasts. Its unique aroma positions it as an outstanding product in the world of fine brandies.
