The Glenglassaugh Distillery, a renowned Scottish whisky distillery, is picturesquely located near Portsoy in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Its location along the coastline of the Moray Firth not only offers breathtaking views of the North Sea but also shapes the unique character of its whisky. The distillery's history dates back to its founding in 1875. Since then, Glenglassaugh has developed a rich tradition of craftsmanship and distilling high-quality single malt whiskies, which are appreciated by connoisseurs worldwide.

The Gaelic word "Torfa" means "peat," and the Glenglassaugh Malt lives up to exactly these expectations. It is Glenglassaugh's first peated malt since its reopening in 2008. In the 100 years prior, the distillery was closed more often than it was open, and although there may have been peated whiskies back then, there are no precise records of them.
