Description
Description
In 1776, a year shaped by the spirit of the American Revolution and the drafting of the Declaration of Independence, the foundations were also laid for the Pepper family’s now legendary whisky brand. Elijah Pepper laid the foundation, followed by Oscar Pepper and later Colonel James E. Pepper, who led the brand into the 20th century. As a bourbon aristocrat and industrial pioneer from Kentucky, Colonel James E. Pepper named the whisky ‘Old 1776’ to honour the legacy of the Revolution.
James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon Whisky, characterised by its high rye content of over 38 per cent, is bottled at 46 per cent and is non-chill-filtered and free from colourings. These characteristics give it a full-bodied and spicy flavour, making it an excellent choice for whisky lovers.
