Description
The Villa Sandi winery, located in the heart of the Prosecco region of Veneto, Italy, is a renowned winery known for its high-quality sparkling and still wines. Villa Sandi, a magnificent 17th-century building, serves as the impressive headquarters of the winery and reflects the rich history and tradition of winemaking in this region.
Villa Sandi is particularly famous for its Prosecco production. The grapes grow on the hilly landscapes of Valdobbiadene, where the microclimate and mineral-rich soils provide ideal growing conditions. The grapes are carefully hand-picked to ensure the best possible quality. Sustainability and environmental protection are paramount, underlined by modern techniques and numerous certifications.
The elegant Il Fresco Rosato Spumante Brut from Veneto is based on a careful selection of Chardonnay, Glera, and Pinot Noir grapes. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery, where they are sorted and gently crushed to preserve their delicate aromas.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, which intensifies the fresh and fruity notes of the grapes. After fermentation, the wine matures on fine lees for several months. This maturation in stainless steel tanks contributes to the clarity and purity of the wine before it is finally bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
