Description
Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët in Épernay, France, Moët & Chandon has grown to become a leading name in the champagne market. Jean-Remy Moët, a descendant of the founder, acquired the former Hautvillers Abbey in 1794, where the monk Dom Pérignon developed his pioneering champagne production techniques. This was a crucial step that further solidified Moët & Chandon's quality and reputation.
The connection to historical figures like Napoleon Bonaparte, a close friend of Jean-Remy Moët, helped popularize the champagne on international campaigns and increased its worldwide appeal. Moët & Chandon always remained based in Épernay and became synonymous with high-quality champagne.
1987 marked another milestone when Moët Hennessy merged with Louis Vuitton to form the luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, now globally renowned for its exclusive products.
Moët & Chandon N.I.R. Nectar Imperial Dry Rosé Luminous Edition stands out with its luminous label, setting it apart from other wines. A button at the bottom of the bottle activates the bottle's illumination, creating an impressive visual highlight.
The sparkling wine offers a fruity, full-bodied, and fresh taste, complemented by complex and rich aromas. The blend of over 100 wines, including Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Chardonnay, gives it impressive diversity and intensity. After maturation, it is bottled with a natural cork stopper.
The Marquise de Pompadour once captured the essence of champagne when she said: "Champagne is the only wine in the world that makes every woman beautiful."
