Hennessy Distillery is based in Cognac, France. The company was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is now run by the eighth generation. The officer emigrated from Ireland to Cognac and founded the company "Jas Hennessy & Co" at that time. Richard Hennessy's cognac quickly gained a high reputation and became known worldwide.

For production, grapes grown in the Cognac region are used. After double distillation in copper stills, pure Eaux-de-vie is created, which serves as the basis for the cognacs.

This bottling was launched in 2015, for the 250th anniversary of the House of Hennessy, to pay homage to James Hennessy, Richard Hennessy's eldest son. James Hennessy is a true adventurer, constantly seeking to broaden his horizons through travel. To give this blend an additional new touch, a collaboration with international designer Marc Newson was entered into.
