The Jura The Sound Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an expressive island bottling from the traditional Isle of Jura Distillery and a tribute to the rugged, often underestimated nature of the Scottish island of Jura. It is named after the island's northern strait, home to the notorious Gulf of Corryvreckan, one of the strongest whirlpools in the world. This powerful connection of sea, current, and landscape is reflected not only in the whisky's character, but also in the elaborately designed gift box, which impressively showcases the island's maritime elements.


This Single Malt Scotch Whisky is first matured in classic ex-bourbon casks, which provide structure, balance, and a gentle basic sweetness. The whisky then receives a finish in casks that previously held 15-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry. This special finish gives Jura The Sound additional depth, dark fruit notes, and a pleasantly warming aroma. Bottled at 42.5%, this Island Single Malt is harmonious, accessible, and yet complex, with a clear connection between cask maturation and island character.
