In the picturesque landscape of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Gölles, a third-generation farmer, runs the traditional family fruit-growing business. After graduating from the renowned Federal Institute for Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples, pears, plums, and peaches. His foray into distilling fine brandies began in 1979, followed by the establishment of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in 1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many varieties of vinegar, which regularly receive accolades.

Gölles Alte Herzkirsche undergoes an eight-year maturation period in oak barrels. This storage period allows for the development of a diverse flavor palette, including vanilla, wood, and distinct roasted aromas. Additionally, the aroma is complemented by the fresh and intense fruit notes of the fully ripe cherries harvested in July, which lend the brandy a smoky profile.

This combination of wood and fruit creates perfect harmony, making the "Alte Herzkirsche" cherry brandy an exceptional treat for connoisseurs.
