SEDUCTIVO – born from a Styrian vision, created in Cartagena, Colombia. The search for the "perfect rum" inspired Mario Reisenhofer from Weiz to embark on a unique project with Colombian rum manufacturer Dictador.

Several samples had to be sent from Colombia to Styria to find the truly perfect rum. When it finally lived up to its name (SEDUCTIVO = seductive, enchanting), Mario Reisenhofer immediately developed the design of the bottle and packaging. The result was black and silver packaging, a visual expression of its noble contents.

SEDUCTIVO is also an extraordinary Dictador rum in terms of taste. Silky and noticeably sweet, yet with all the familiar characteristics of a typical Dictador rum: delicate chocolate notes and aromatic tobacco flavors, but also caramel and dried fruit notes, which were added during the long sherry aging process. The aroma also features exotic spices, citrus notes, and a fine almond/hazelnut scent.

SEDUCTIVO was distilled in 1994 in Cartagena. 70% of it by column distillation, 30% in Alambic Pot Stills. Ten of the most valuable barrels from the Dictador warehouse were personally selected by Hernan Parra for this limited special bottling and expertly blended. As always with Dictador, subsequent sweetening was out of the question. Incidentally, only sherry casks were used for bottling, in which the SEDUCTIVO was allowed to mature for a full 6 years. Before that, the same rum spent 18 years in ex-Bourbon casks. Thus, like many single cask bottlings, SEDUCTIVO is not a Solera rum, but has a true 24 years of barrel aging!
