Description
Description
The Heinrich winery is located in Gols, Burgenland, and is managed by Gernot and Heike Heinrich. A great wine only comes into being when the vines feel good. The family's vineyards are located in Purbach, Breitenbrunn, Winden, Jois, Neusiedl am See, Weiden, Gold, Mönchhof, and Podersdorf. Thanks to the numerous hours of sunshine around Lake Neusiedl, the grapes can fully develop and impart this intensity of flavor. The red wine was named after the excellent south-facing slope of the same name, located directly above our winery. The soil of this slope ranges from loamy-silty to calcareous and sandy-gravelly. This combination allows the Blaufränkisch and Merlot grapes to ripen perfectly. The wine was aged for 30 months in 500-liter oak barrels.
