The Ailsa Bay Sweet Smoke Single Malt Scotch Whisky Release 1.2, 48.9% ABV, 0.7 l, is a modern and innovative bottling from the relatively new Ailsa Bay Distillery, which was founded in 2007 by William Grant & Sons in Girvan (Lowlands). The distillery is renowned for its high-tech distillation methods, which enable it to produce whiskies of exceptional precision and consistency.


Release 1.2 Sweet Smoke was matured in a combination of fresh, heavily charred American oak casks and casks that previously contained sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry. This maturation process gives the whisky its exciting interplay of sweet fruitiness and intense smokiness. Bottled at 48.9% ABV, with its natural colour and without chill filtration, it is authentic, robust and complex.
