In the late 1990s, a group of friends had the ambitious plan to establish the first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century. Their goal was to create a whisky as pure and precious as Welsh gold. In 2004, on St. David's Day, this dream became a reality when Penderyn Whisky was launched. The distillery owes its uniqueness, among other things, to the copper still designed by Dr. David Faraday, featuring a special pot still. It is located in the village of Penderyn, at the southern end of the Brecon Beacons. The pure spring water from the region significantly contributes to the quality of the exceptional Penderyn whiskies.

Faraday Whisky by Penderyn is an exclusive creation for travel retail and a tribute to Dr. David Faraday's innovative distillation technique. Named after the unique Faraday Still he designed, this single malt embodies the perfect balance between tradition and modern distillation craftsmanship. The maturation process begins in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks before it gains its complex and profound aromas through a finish in ex-ruby port wine casks.
