Boë Scottish Gin has a remarkable history dating back to 1658. At that time, the world-renowned Professor Franz de la Boë infused a clear grain spirit with hand-picked juniper berries whilst meticulously searching for a medicinal tonic. In doing so, he invented the world’s first gin – a milestone that still forms the basis for this time-honoured spirit today.


In Scotland, Boë Scottish Gin is produced as a premium distilled gin. Under the watchful eye of the master distiller, it is crafted in small batches, with rare, hand-picked botanicals and spices infused into the finest, neutral grain spirit and carefully distilled. A triple filtration process allows its full aroma to unfold, characterised by fresh citrus notes, exceptional balance and a velvety smoothness. Bottled at 41.5% ABV, it combines historical inspiration with modern distilling craftsmanship and preserves the spirit of Franz de la Boë, who lived from 1614 to 1672.
