The Asbach GmbH, a renowned brandy distillery in Rüdesheim am Rhein, exclusively uses selected wines for the demanding rough and fine distillation processes. The distillates first mature in Limousin oak barrels and then in particularly air-permeable German oak barrels. These barrels offer the fine brandies optimal conditions to breathe and fully develop their aromas. A secret maturation and refining process gives each Asbach its brilliant topaz color and its characteristic bouquet.

The bottle label is based on the original recipe from 1892, which the founder Hugo Asbach himself noted down. The lion in the seal, the heraldic animal of the Asbach family, symbolizes the founder's courage as well as the product's strength and quality.

Since 1892, Asbach Uralt has been produced from selected base wines according to the highest quality standards. After multiple distillations, this brandy matures four to five times longer than legally required, first in Limousin oak barrels and then in German Spessart oak barrels. This long maturation period and the careful selection of barrels give Asbach Uralt its characteristic, rich taste and make it a classic among German brandies.
