Kopke Fine Ports are versatile wines, resulting from a blend of young Port wines from different harvests, with a minimum aging of three years. The three distinct styles – Tawny, Ruby, and White – are perfect for a first introduction to Kopke Port wines. Picked by hand at their optimum ripeness, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and converted into wine through careful maceration to extract their color, tannins, and aromas, which are enhanced by constant stirring during fermentation. This takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 28 and 30°C until the desired sweetness level (Baumé) is reached. At this point, grape spirit is added to create the final fortified wine. The result is a rich and aromatic wine with the perfect sweetness, achieved by blending wines from different harvests with varying degrees of maturation in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years.
