The Hyde No. 9 IBERIAN CASK 1906 Commemorative Edition is a premium single malt Irish whiskey, bottled at 43 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle. This special Commemorative Edition is made from 100 per cent malted Irish barley and traditionally triple-distilled, giving the whisky its characteristically smooth and elegant flavour. Maturation begins for at least eight years in 200-litre ex-bourbon casks from Kentucky, which have been heavily flame-charred, lending the distillate a harmonious foundation. The whisky is then finished for nine months in 200-litre tawny port casks from northern Portugal, which impart additional depth, fruity elegance and subtle spice. This combination of American oak and Iberian port casks gives Hyde No. 9 its distinctive character and makes it a special release within the Hyde range.
