Benriach The Smoky Ten is a characterful, peated Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that reflects the Benriach Distillery’s philosophy, which is both steeped in tradition and open to experimentation. As early as the 1970s, Benriach made a conscious decision to return to the historical production methods of the 19th century and once again began distilling whisky from barley dried with Highland peat. This wood-rich Highland peat lends the whisky a sweet, elegant smokiness that stands out distinctly from the maritime styles of Islay.


For The Smoky Ten, peated and unpeated distillates are blended and matured for at least ten years in three different types of cask. The casks used include classic bourbon casks, aromatic Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak casks. This ‘Three Cask Matured’ process imparts depth, structure and a harmonious blend of fruit, smoke and spice. Bottled at 46% ABV, uncoloured and non-chill-filtered, this single malt is powerful, authentic and well-balanced. The high-quality gift box underscores the sophisticated character of this bottling.
