The Kilchoman Islay Single Malt Whisky Bourbon/Oloroso Sherry SMALL BATCH 2 is a strictly limited bottling from the independent farm distillery Kilchoman Distillery and is clearly aimed at lovers of powerful, characterful Islay whiskies. This small-batch edition was deliberately bottled in a small run of only 1,200 bottles and combines 80% Bourbon Cask Whisky with 20% Oloroso Sherry Cask Single Malt. Bottled at 47.1% Vol., the whisky remains intense, structured and unadulterated, without chill-filtration and without colouring. The intense natural colour comes exclusively from cask maturation; all flavour-giving oils and esters are completely preserved.


Maturation in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks highlights the typical smoky Kilchoman house style, which is particularly appreciated by peatheads. The cask composition was chosen so that smoke, sweetness, fruit and spice are in a balanced relationship. The bourbon cask proportion provides structure and accessibility, while the Oloroso casks contribute depth and complexity.
