Description
Description
Named after the 135° east meridian, which crosses the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, this gin represents the passion for discovering what lies beyond boundaries.
Inspired by Japan's significant Taisho period, this gin honors a time when Eastern culture merged with Western.
By combining new flavors that reinforce and complement each other, Kimio Yonezawa has created a new innovative and unconventional type of gin: the "Hyogo Dry Gin."
After carefully considering the flavor profiles of over 50 different botanicals, Master Distiller & Blender Kimio Yonezawa chose to combine 3 traditional botanicals from Europe with 5 uniquely Japanese botanicals – all sourced from small local producers and the best specialists in Japan, separately distilled to preserve their character, and finally blended together.
The essence of each Japanese plant is captured through a vacuum distillation process, a technique used in the luxury perfume industry. 135° East preserves the pure olfactory notes and subtleties of their aromas.
Botanicals: Angelica root, coriander, juniper, sencha, yuzu, shiso leaves, ume, sansho pepper
