At the confluence of the Northern and Western Highlands of Scotland, surrounded by a striking mountain landscape, lies Loch Lomond, the country's largest lake. Near this lake, in the town of Alexandria at its southern end, is the Loch Lomond Distillery. The geographical proximity to the Atlantic coasts and the mountains of the Western Highlands influences the taste of the malt whisky produced there, which is made using traditional methods passed down through generations.

In the early 1990s, a modern grain distillery was built alongside the traditional malt distillery.

Loch Lomond is thus the only distillery in Scotland that produces both grain and malt whisky at the same location.

Loch Lomond 30 Years Old undergoes careful maturation in American oak casks, followed by an equal finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Master Blender Michael Henry personally oversees the marrying of the malts to achieve unparalleled complexity. To preserve the authenticity and natural taste of the whisky, chill-filtration is deliberately avoided.
