During its long maturation, it gradually acquires the characteristic brick-red 'Tawny' color and develops complex, mature aromas and the soft, opulent palate that distinguish a Tawny Port.

For its 20 Year Old Tawny, Taylor's blends Port wines aged around twenty years from its extensive stocks, which mature in small casks in the cool, quiet lodges of the house in Oporto, on Portugal's Atlantic coast.

In the 20 Year Old Tawny, the fruit has gently further developed, and the spicy, nutty aromas of maturity are also more intense and powerful than in the 10 Year Old Tawny.
