This rum takes its name from a schooner named 'Kirk and Sweeney' which served as a rum-smuggling vessel between the Caribbean and the northeastern USA during the early days of Prohibition.

The bottle features a print of the ships' usual smuggling routes.

Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, this rum adheres to very strict regulations to be called "Dominican Rum." The process begins with hand-harvested, high-quality, pure sugarcane. The byproduct of the sugarcane, "Blackstrap Molasses," is then carefully fermented and distilled.

Aged in American and French oak barrels, this is a rum worth pursuing.
