Description
The 20-year-old Dictador Icon Reserve is also distilled from the fermentation of native "Suger Cane Honey" - the honey-like sugar cane syrup, which, unlike molasses, is an essence of fresh sugar cane juice - partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks. Column distillation is used. This achieves a medium rum body that is pleasantly aromatic. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels. Only in this way can it be ensured that all secrets remain contained in the liquid aroma. Dictador rum, by the way, is not sweetened like many other "mainstream rums" nowadays. Nevertheless, it has a fine natural sweetness that therefore appears particularly harmonious.
The 20-year-old Dictator won Grand Gold at the Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition 2016.
