Description
The 20-year-old Dictador Icon Reserve is also distilled from the fermentation of "Suger Cane Honey" - the honey-like sugar cane syrup, which, unlike molasses, is an essence of fresh sugar cane juice - partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks. The column distillation process is used, which results in a medium-bodied rum that is pleasantly aromatic. Maturation takes place in American oak barrels. This is the only way to ensure that all secrets are preserved in the liquid aroma. Incidentally, Dictador rum is not sweetened like many other "mainstream rums" today. Nevertheless, it has a fine natural sweetness that appears particularly harmonious.
The 20-year-old Dictator won a Grand Gold at the Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition 2016.
