The Nagahama Roman 8 Years Old Pure Malt Whisky is a rare and impressive bottling from the small, artisanal Nagahama Distillery, one of Japan's youngest and most exciting distilleries. Located on the shores of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, Nagahama combines traditional whisky craftsmanship with Japanese precision and a keen sense for maturation and blending.

The term Pure Malt means that this whisky consists exclusively of malt whiskies from different distilleries – in this case, eight-year-old single malts, both from their own production and from Scottish and Japanese stocks, were artfully blended. The addition of Roman here stands for "story" or "narrative" – each bottle expresses the journey and development of the young distillery. Bottled at 47% Vol., without chill filtration or colorants, this whisky presents itself as powerful, elegant, and complex.
