Founded in 1798, Tobermory Distillery is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, located in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Since its establishment, it has experienced turbulent times with many changes of ownership and production stoppages. In 1993, Burn Stewart Distillers took over the distillery, which was then acquired by the South African Distell Group in 2013. In March 2017, production was halted again for refurbishment work. Despite these challenges, Tobermory remains an important part of Scotland's whisky tradition.

The 23-year-old Tobermory was allowed to mature for an extra long period and also received a finish in Oloroso Sherry casks, which gives it impressive depth and complexity. It now complements the core range of the island distillery and offers connoisseurs an excellent choice. The extended maturation and final storage in the sherry casks create a whisky with rich, full-bodied aromas, making it an outstanding representative of the Tobermory Distillery.
