The Glenkinchie The Distillers Edition Double Matured 2021 43% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is an exclusive bottling from the Scottish Lowlands, famous for their light, floral single malts. This vintage was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021, meaning it has undergone a long maturation period. What makes it special: It was double matured in Amontillado Cask-Wood, which gives the whisky additional depth, spice, and fine sherry notes. This combines the elegant basic character of Glenkinchie with expressive complexity.


After initial maturation in classic oak casks, a secondary maturation followed in Amontillado sherry casks, giving it nutty, fruity, and dry accents. At 43% Vol., it presents itself as soft, round, and yet multifaceted. As with all Distillers Edition bottlings, coloring (caramel) was used here to enhance the deep golden color. The 0.7 l bottle in an elegant gift box makes it a special choice for collectors and connoisseurs of exceptional Lowland whiskies.
