The distillation is a blend of two distillates, using both pot-still and column-still methods. The double cask aging makes this rum particularly unique: it first matures in Jati oak barrels (teak wood), which lend it a spicy, exotic depth. This is followed by refinement in ex-Bourbon barrels, which provide soft vanilla and caramel notes.
