The production process for 818 Tequila Añejo is characterised by a combination of traditional methods and meticulous attention to detail. The process begins with the experienced jimadores of the tequila region, who specifically select agaves that have reached a minimum maturity of seven years. After these agaves have been carefully cooked for up to 40 hours, the juice is extracted using traditional tahonas – the large stone mills for which this method is renowned.

The subsequent 70-hour fermentation and double distillation in pot stills intensify the flavours. Ageing in white oak casks gives the tequila its characteristic, smooth vanilla flavour before it is bottled for distribution worldwide.

Behind 818 Tequila is the American model Kendall Jenner, who has repeatedly been named the world’s highest-paid model since 2017. The name “818” pays homage to the postcode of her home in Calabasas, California, and reflects Jenner’s personal connection to and passion for this tequila.
