Ron Esclavo is a premium rum brand known for its high-quality and handcrafted spirits. The brand was founded by Danish entrepreneur and rum enthusiast Henrik Kristofferson, who fell in love with the Dominican Republic and its rum traditions. The name Ron Esclavo means "Slave Rum" in Spanish and recalls the historical connection between rum production and the history of slavery in the Caribbean. The brand aims to honor and acknowledge the legacy of those involved in the rum industry during that period. Ron Esclavo is committed to producing rums of exceptional quality, using traditional production methods and carefully selected ingredients. The finest sugar cane from the Dominican Republic and a meticulous distillation and aging process are used to create these spirits.

This rum first matures in American and French oak barrels before undergoing a second maturation for 12 months in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which impart a special depth and fine sherry notes.

Bottling took place in October 2021, and it is limited to 955 bottles, making this rum an exclusive specialty.
