Despite its Japanese-style bottle design and name, Akori Gin actually comes from Spain. However, Destilerias Company, the producer of this gin, draws heavily on Far Eastern flavours for inspiration. For the production of Akori Gin, for example, typical Japanese botanicals such as dragon fruit, kumquats and ginger are used. Kumquats are also known as dwarf oranges or dwarf bitter oranges and belong to the Rutaceae family.

Akori Cherry Blossom Gin is characterised by Japanese cherry blossom as its main botanical. This gin combines rice-based grain spirit with juniper and a selection of Japanese-inspired botanicals to create a unique flavour profile. Other botanicals include ginger, kumquats and dragon fruit, which, together with the delicate note of cherry blossom, create a harmonious and aromatically complex spirit.
